1. It's important to dress up for your first day at work

dress up: 옷을 갖춰 입다, 차려 입다
lasting: 지속되는
impression: 인상
overdressed: 과하게 차려입은
출근 첫날에는 잘 차려입고 가는 게 중요해요.
2. I have to dress up for my date tonight.

B: Yes, it's ugly.

B: 'In one sitting' means doing something without stopping. Just imagine you're sitting to do something the whole time, and not standing up even once to take a break.
